I would like someone to come up with a filter that will take trending news and only display the single most popular article about whatever news is trending, then hide all the shares, likes, and permutations of the exact same news.
Yes, there is important news in the world, but liking and sharing the same thing over and over and regurgitating the same articles is getting old and doesn’t help the situation at all. If you really want to make a difference in the world, take action that doesn’t involve less than 1 second of clicking a “like” or “share” button!
Make the effort to actually donate your time or money towards tragedies, send direct messages and emails to praise those who are deserving of kind words, and please give the world more than 1 second of your attention from a “like” or “share”!
I have found the answer to this wish. It is called FB Purity which stands for Fluff Busting Purity. This browser plugin that filters out Facebook posts depending on your criteria is fantastic!
