If you aren’t aware yet, on 21 August 2017 there will be a total solar eclipse with the “path of totality”, or 100% eclipsed zone passing right through the United States. The eclipse will be observable by the entire North American continent.
Northern Colorado is in the 90% eclipsed zone. My wife and I will plan on traveling about 3 hours north towards Casper, WY to participate in the 100% totality area closest to us.

Since this is kind of a “once in a lifetime” event, the Department of Transportation is asking folks to follow these travel guidelines as major and minor travel routes along the path of totality will be in a gridlock:
